Investments vary depending on location, market, and whether it's an inline or freestanding restaurant.

Qualifications and Fees

What kind of experience do I need to be considered for a Peter Piper franchise?
We are looking for individuals who share our passion for our concept and are committed to delivering a great experience to our guests. In addition to meeting the necessary financial requirements, qualified candidates should have (or have access to) restaurant experience (preferably multi-unit restaurant) and/or multi-unit retail experience. The candidate must have the ability to build out their selected market with multiple locations.

Do you provide financing?
While we do not provide direct financing, we have set up a franchise-financing program with GE Capital Franchise Finance (“GE”). GE can be used to finance real estate, leasehold improvements, and equipment and image enhancements for your restaurant.

How long does a Franchise Agreement last?
The initial term is ten years, after which you may renew for an additional option period of ten years, subject to lease availability, under the then current franchise provisions.

Am I given territorial protection?
Your Exclusive Area Development Agreement provides market development rights based on a mutually agreed-upon number of restaurants and build-out schedule.

What are the Royalty and Advertising Fees?
Royalty fees are currently 5% of Gross Sales. Creative Fund fees are ½% of gross sales (exclusive of gross game sales) and ¼% of gross game sales. In addition, 4½% of gross sales must be spent locally by you for advertising.

Restaurant Site Selection and Construction

Does Peter Piper help with site identification and construction of my restaurant?
We provide the guidance you need to ensure that the site you select meets the Peter Piper Pizza site requirements concerning demographics, traffic counts and visibility. In addition, we will provide a preliminary floor and ceiling plan, architectural guidance and construction advice throughout the construction of your restaurant.

What size specifications are required for a Peter Piper Pizza restaurant?
Our restaurant prototype is between 8,500 - 10,000 square feet, with a minimum of 85 feet of frontage. Freestanding or end-cap space is preferred.

How soon can my restaurant be in operation once I have been accepted as a Franchisee?
Identifying a site is the determining factor. Once a site is approved and construction documents are developed, tenant improvements can be completed in 90 days.

Do I receive guidance in restaurant layout?
Yes. Peter Piper provides a preliminary floor plan and reflected ceiling plan for your architect's use in developing the construction documents.

Do I buy my equipment from Peter Piper?
No. We have a list of approved suppliers and provide specifications for all equipment in our Design and Construction Manual. We are available to assist you with any questions you may have.

Restaurant Training and Operations

Do I receive training by Peter Piper?
Yes. Franchisees, their operating partners and their designated managers must attend and successfully complete a six-week training program in one of our company training restaurants. The cost of this initial training is included in your Franchise Fee. You will be responsible for your own travel, transportation, lodging and meals.

What other assistance do I receive prior to opening my Peter Piper Pizza restaurant?
In addition to your initial management training, your Franchise Business Consultant ("FBC") will provide and review with you our restaurant pre-opening manual that will take you step by step through the opening process. Your FBC and a Peter Piper opening team will also assist you with properly setting up the restaurant for business, assist in the orientation and training of your team and be on site for up to two weeks after the opening of your restaurant.

What form of continuing operational support will I receive?
You will receive our confidential Peter Piper Operations Manual along with other manuals covering the many important facets of operating your restaurant. As the manuals are updated, revisions will be made available to you. You will also receive periodic visits by your FBC, who will offer advice and counsel on system elements such as quality control, service, advertising, marketing, merchandise control and training.

Do I receive guidance on the purchase of Food and Supplies?
Yes. High-quality products and ingredients are essential to our concept. Our purchasing team researches suppliers on an on-going basis, and has established an approved list of products and supplies that are available for purchase through our independent distributor.

Do I receive guidance on the purchase and preventative maintenance of games?
Yes. We will provide you with the training and the necessary tools to ensure your team is sufficiently trained in order to keep your entertainment offerings attractive, including the rotation of game assets.

Does Peter Piper offer adult beverages?
Yes, we offer beer and wine.
